With over 20 years of experience in the creative industry, and a lifelong passion for interiors and nature, I bring a thoughtful and imaginative approach to every project – from furniture and decorating to design.
Based at my garage workshop at The Old Forge in North West Leicestershire, I also create and repurpose one-of-a-kind statement furniture, giving characterful pieces a new lease of life and helping them become part of a beautifully considered space.

Hello, I’m Lydia, founder of The Repurposed Room.
I believe furniture and interiors should tell a story. From hand-painted statement pieces to thoughtfully decorated spaces, I create characterful homes and businesses inspired by colour, creativity and timeless design.
Rooted in the National Forest, my work is influenced by nature, travel and a love of timeless interiors. I combine artisan craftsmanship with thoughtful decorating to create spaces that feel personal, welcoming and made to last.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything I do. By restoring vintage furniture and making considered design choices, I celebrate what already exists while reducing waste. To give back to the landscape that inspires me, a contribution from every sale goes towards planting trees in the National Forest, helping to nurture a greener future.
